Savar Thana BNP president and former chairman of Birulia Union Parishad Mahmudul Hasan Alal died at the hospital after suffering a brain stroke (Innalillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun).
He died at the Apollo Hospital in the capital on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the news of Alal’s death has cast a shadow of mourning over the political arena of Savar. People from all walks of life including leaders and activists of BNP, Awami League and various political parties have expressed their grief over the death of Savar Thana BNP president Alal.
Earlier on Wednesday (May 26) morning, Alal was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Enam Medical College and Hospital in Savar after suffering a brain stroke.
